The KTD-348 is a matrix video switcher that is designed for use in midsize CCTV systems. Three versions are available: the KTD-348-164, which accepts 16 video inputs and provides 4 video outputs; the KTD-348-324, which accepts 32 inputs and provides 4 outputs; and the KTD-348-328, which accepts 32 inputs and provides 8 outputs. Expansion kits are available to KTD-348-164 and KTD-348-324 owners who wish to increase their unit’s matrix switching capabilities.

The KTD-348 features looping video inputs, programmable alarm inputs, and an RS232 port for operation from a computer. An output port is provided for relay follow.

The KTD-348 can also annotate the monitor display with a camera title. Titles can contain up to 13 alphanumeric characters and can be placed on any of 10 different lines. When a KTS-253 series generator is connected to its digital line, the KTD-348 can also superimpose the time and date on the video output.

Up to 64 keypads can control the KTD-348 from remote locations via twisted-pair cable. Standard Digiplex® protocol enables the unit to be programmed for camera sequence tours as well as individual or universal dwell times.

All ICs are socketed for easy removal and replacement. A 115 VAC/12 VDC external wall transformer is supplied for chassis power. Sold separately are rack-mount ears, which can mount the KTD-348 in a standard 19-inch rack
